Packing - Oh Boy!

I'm starting to put everything together in our suitcases.  Not looking good so far.  We really aren't taking many clothes but some are already being put back in the closet.  It's amazing that it doesn't take much to get to 44lbs and 10lbs each for our carry ons.  Most of the weight is toiletries, over the counter medications, China gifts, baby wipes, and formula for her, camera cords, etc.  It adds up quick.  I haven't even packed any of her new clothes yet.  Adriana has gotten so many adorable clothes from our friends and family that I insist I take them all.  I was joking in an earlier post that Dan can only take one pair of pants and two shirts, maybe I'm not joking anymore!  I just won't tell him about it until we get to China, hee hee!  Maybe I can put back that dress Dan wants me to take.  He loves it when I wear I dress.  I think it would be handy for the squatty potties, hee hee.  I have all weekend to figure it out, no problem.

Finding Ad Part II

We received Adriana's Finding Ad thru the mail today.  We received two 5 x 7 photos of it.  The picture isn't any better than what you saw on our blog.  The other photo is of the page in the newspaper with a total of 30 babies listed.  The ad was in the "Jiangxi Business News" published on October 15, 2010, so she was 2 1/2 months old at the time of the photo.  That is the earliest known photo of her.  We had the ad translated (the writing to the right).  It states "On August 2, 2010, an abandoned baby was found near Zhongling Huiguiyuan.  Name is Fu Jing Qin (they list the last name first in China).  Female.  She was born on July 31, 2010.  Characteristic of body:  She has light skin and big eyes, a little hair."  That's all we know.  I also purchased a copy of the "China Daily" the official English newspaper of China, dated her birth date of July 31, 2010.  I've just read it.  Pretty good newspaper with quite a few US stories in it.

Adriana's Finding Ad

We purchased the finding ad for Adriana.  To qualify for international adoption the child's photo and story need to be posted in a local newspaper.  The photo is of poor quality but we will be mailed the original page of the paper and translated story.
